Award Winning Darren Smith Homes Communal Decking Area at St Paul's Lock, Mirfield
Earlier this year, we were thrilled to work with the national award-winning construction company, Darren Smith Homes, and provide them with our Artem composite decking for their flagship development at St Paul's Lock, Mirfield.
The Yorkshire based construction company have a long-established reputation for their developments - which always deliver on quality, value and style. Winning two awards in 2017 & 2018 – including the acclaimed NHBC Supreme Award winner and Pride in the Job award – Nigel Smith has been recognised as one of the best builders in Britain.

We’re proud to have provided the subframe and outdoor composite decking for their communal area at St Paul’s Lock. Our luxury decking is made to the highest standards, and is created to combine a sleek exterior with easy maintenance, whilst our clip and subframe system allows for easy drainage and a weather resistant design that allows the natural flow of boards to expand and contract with the weather changes as required.
One of the new residents at St Paul’s Lock told us, “ I love the decking design and it looks so modern and unique. Every one that comes over comments on it and how good it looks.”
The communal outdoor garden area also features our Artem composite cladding boards in Canadian Red Pine - produced into planters – with their own self-sufficient ecosystems that allow the plants to be self maintained for 30 days. The combination of the Artem Grey and Canadian Red Pine on the project really compliment one another to leave the overall image as one of natural yet modern beauty.
